The School of Skill Development and Allied Health Sciences, in collaboration with Bharati Hospital
and Research Centre, Pune, fostered a vibrant culture of academic excellence, community
engagement, and professional growth through a series of impactful student-led initiatives
during the academic year.
World Lung Day (25th September 2025) was commemorated by BSc and MSc Respiratory
Therapy students under the inspiring theme “Healthy Lung, Healthy Life.” The celebrations
featured a thought-provoking Poster Competition, a meaningful Pledge Ceremony reaffirming
commitment to respiratory health advocacy, and interactive quizzes and activities that
encouraged knowledge-sharing, leadership, and active participation. These initiatives
highlighted the students’ dedication to advancing lung health awareness and strengthening
the Respiratory Therapy profession.
In the same spirit, World Heart Day (29th September 2025) was observed by BPMT Cardiology
Technician and Perfusion Technician students with the theme “Don’t Miss a Beat.” Through
creative Poster and Role Play Competitions, students effectively conveyed vital messages on
cardiovascular care, demonstrating responsibility, innovation, and a strong commitment to
promoting heart health within the community.
Further enriching academic outreach, International Day of Radiology (8th November 2025) was
celebrated by BPMT Radiographic Technician students under the theme “Radiology: The Eye of
Medicine.” The event showcased informative Poster Presentations on radiation safety and
imaging modalities, engaging Role Plays, and a stimulating Quiz Competition, reinforcing
awareness of safe radiological practices and the critical role of radiology in modern healthcare.
Collectively, these initiatives reflected the institution’s unwavering commitment to nurturing
skilled, socially responsible, and future-ready healthcare professionals.
