The year 2025 stands as a landmark chapter in the journey of the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) School of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (SASLP), Pune.
The college achieved a significant national milestone this year by being recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
The college also received multiple recognition and awards that include recognition by NICHE Advocacy Foundation for contribution to clinical services for the elderly, recognition by Shreemant Dagdushet Halwai Sarvajanik Ganapati Trust for services to adults with hearing loss, and Quality Improvement Project award for the quality initiatives of SASLP in the field of swallowing and dysphagia.
The college has wide reach to multiple centres like the TARA Dhadphale Centre for family deprived children with special needs, Snehalaya centre and Ankur Vidyamandir in Pune for the children who cannot speak or has unintelligible speech due to some physical, neurological or psychological reason.
College has collaboration with the Mukul Madhav Foundation. Further, efforts are underway to secure fundings from CSR initiatives and philanthropists to help the families of these children to procure effective communication devices for their children.
The institute also expanded its outreach & clinical impact through multiple new & renewed collaborations & MOUs with hospitals, research institutes, & community organizations. These partnerships supported advancements in cochlear implant services, neonatal hearing screening, pediatric rehabilitation, dysphagia management & community-based intervention programs. Collectively, these initiatives reflect a strong commitment to innovation, accessibility, evidence-based practice, & community engagement.
