The academic year at Bharati Vidyapeeth School of Photography and Cinematography (BVSP) began on an inspiring note with a three-day induction programme that warmly welcomed firstyear students and oriented them toward campus life and creative learning. The semester unfolded with a series of thoughtfully curated workshops and industry interactions that strengthened practical skills and professional awareness. Cinematography students benefited from a two-day masterclass by Mr. Rafeh Mehmood, ISC, while a lighting workshop conducted by Shenoy Lighting, led by Mr. Nitin Shenoy, offered practical experience with professional lighting systems.
BVSP AT IFFI 2025, GOA
In November 2025, BVSP organized a memorable study tour to Goa, centered around participation in the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). Film students attended enriching workshops conducted by eminent industry figures such as Rajkumar Hirani, Sreekar Prasad, and Aamir Khan, gaining rare insights into filmmaking craft and vision. Simultaneously, photography students explored architectural photography at the iconic Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This immersive experience broadened creative horizons and strengthened professional outlooks.
WORKSHOPS BRIDGING CREATIVITY AND INDUSTRY
A standout academic interaction included an engaging session with a representative from Hahnemühle, the globally renowned fine art and professional paper brand, offering students valuable insights into fine art printing and paper selection. Creativity was further celebrated through an in-house photography competition that encouraged students to express their unique visual perspectives.
